Superb opportunity for a talented and qualified Financial Controller (ACCA or CIMA) to join professional services firm to spearhead their growth plans. This is a stand-alone role currently and you need to be happy with all aspects of the finance role within this medium sized business. They are committed to sustained growth and are seeking a commercially astute Financial Controller to lead and evolve its finance function. This is a pivotal role for a proactive finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to influence strategic decision-making at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with senior leadership to provide strategic financial insights and support key decisions.

• Lead all aspects of financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.

• Manage cash flow, payroll, financial risk, and investment activities to support business growth.

• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure the integrity of financial data.

• Oversee the external audit process and ensure efficient year-end reporting.

• Identify and implement process improvements to drive financial efficiency and operational excellence.

Ideal Candidate:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA) with a robust background in finance and accounting.

• Educated to degree level or equivalent.

• Experience within Consulting or Professional Services

• Experience within an owner managed environment is highly desirable.

• Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.

• Commercially astute.

• Happy in a stand-alone finance role.

• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
